MSHA Part 46 training is required for surface miners and contractors engaged in Shell Dredging or Employed at Sand and Gravel, Surface Stone, Surface Clay, Colloidal Phosphate, Surface Limestone, Marble, Shale, Kaolin, Feldspar, Granite, Traprock, Cement, Lime, Sandstone, and Slate Mines and Operations.
MSHA Part 46 New Miner
MSHA Part 46 requires that new miners and contractors receive a total of 24 hours of training before the first 90 days of employment. MSHA allows a minimum of 4 hours before begining work. Its up to your client and/or company to decide if they will allow a certain amount of training hours instead of the 24 hours before an employee begins work. This course can be scheduled as a 4 hour, 8 hour, or 24 hour class.
MSHA Part 46 Refresher
MSHA Part 46 requires that miners and contractors complete a minimum of 8 hours of refresher training on an annual basis. This course includes MSHA updates and can be tailored to meet company specific topics.
*NOTE: MSHA New Miner 16 Hour is a 2 day class and MSHA New Miner 24 Hour is a 3 day class. Only available Monday thru Friday. No weekends unless requested for group training as available. You can start class on any weekday just keep in mind that if you start on a Thursday or Friday you will not complete the course till the following weekday. Flexible schedules also available like taking course 1 day a week till completed.
